My Dog Apache has been going to The Barkington for a lot of years. It was his favorite place to go other than being at home. 6 months ago Apache was diagnosed with Lymphoma and went through 20 weeks of chemo therapy. During the therapy he would come to me and look at me as to say I want to go to the Barkington to see my friends. He loved all the people at the Barkington and all the other dogs that I know he considered his friends. Apache went into remission during the chemo therapy and was back to his old self running playing and of course barking. Unfortunately his cancer came back and today he lost his battle with cancer. Even though he lost his battle to cancer I know he had the best 6 months of his life at home and with all his friends at the Barkington. I will miss taking him there and seeing him so happy to play and tired when I would pick him up. I appreciate the kindness and love the Barkington always gave my big puppy and I am sure he did too.
